Field School is finally over. I spent a month (30 days) in a rural area, doing field work. And yes, my skin got... roasted. Hehe. The sun was not merciful. Even with me applying and reapplying sun block, my skin still got burned. Anyway, this field season was exhausting, exhilarating, frustrating and my brain cells committed suicide LOTS of times. I've been away far too long. I miss it. I can't think straight and I can't write fanfics as of this time. Why? I have a thesis write-up to finish and two research articles (that was already presented at a Colloquium on February 15, 2011) to polish. ( Read more... )

Bwahahaha! These are some strips that I've enjoyed reading (and still enjoy reading). When I was doing my undergrad, I came across phdcomics and didn't believe the hidden messages the strips have. Now that I'm already in my 3rd year of grad school, I've found out that it's true! Wah!
